What is electrolyzed reduced water?
Electrolyzed reduced water is produced through electrolysis using water and specialized equipment. Detroit Well provides this water as part of its refill membership program. We encourage members to attend onboarding to learn more about the process and intended uses.
Is hydrogen water safe to drink daily?
Yes, absolutely! Hydrogen water is completely safe for daily consumption. In fact, drinking it regularly maximizes the health benefits, including reduced inflammation, improved energy, and better cellular hydration. You cannot drink “too much” hydrogen as it is a gas, your body will take what it needs and breathe out any excess. There are no contraindications with H2. Not only is it safe, it is extremely therapeutic.
How long does the hydrogen stay in the water?
Molecular hydrogen is most potent immediately after ionization. It's best to drink it fresh from the machine. The hydrogen concentration decreases over time, especially if exposed to air. It will keep in a sealed container for 48 hours but is best to drink straight from the source when the hydrogen is most potent.
What's the difference between alkaline water and hydrogen water?
While both are beneficial, hydrogen water contains molecular hydrogen (H2), which acts as a powerful antioxidant. Alkaline water focuses on pH balance. The K8 produces both - hydrogen-rich water that's also alkaline for optimal health benefits.
Do I have to complete onboarding?
Yes. Every member must complete onboarding before receiving access to the refill station.
Are the vessels included?
Yes. Your membership includes one Detroit Well vessel for each intended application, and is basically a vessel "rental".
