Welcome to Shameless Transformation

We are honored Ezra, one of our beautiful Self Love Leaders, who joined us through our Daily Self Love Circle, and hosted Shameless Saturday for over 2 years is calling in a TRANSFORMATION!! We have been blessed to have Ezra lead deep, transformative conversations during our retreats and events in addition to our Saturday Warrior Circle.

To many, he is a brother, and even more now refer to him as his grandson Benjamin, lovingly donned him "Pop-Pop." Ezra’s unwavering leadership and devotion have guided us toward healing, reclaiming ourselves, and embracing growth. Leaders like Ezra are the light bearers of the Wellness Warrior Collective, and we are grateful for his partnership and endless contributions.

Shameless: Transformed

I’m sitting on the ground outside as I write this. There is the most amazing breeze carrying the perfect temperature, and my favorite music is playing at the perfect volume in the background, Benjamin just jumped off the school bus, and I swear I just saw Leo (My dog) wink at me. I’m feeling pretty damn good! And I’m so extremely grateful, that I can feel joy swirling around inside me. I’m at this place in my life where I’ve become super inward focused, and in this moment, this beautiful moment, thoughts of the journey of addiction that once consumed my entire life, and how different it all looks today brings me even deeper into gratitude. So much change has happened. I’m a completely transformed person. Who knew that day 13 years ago when I finally said “yes” to me that THIS would be my life! Clean, sober, and even better than that, TRANSFORMED, and living a life filled with the sweetest abundance.

.... I laugh when I think of how much I resisted change along the way, even though, each time I surrendered and allowed myself to lean into the opportunity, miracle after miracle would begin to pour in. I resisted breakups when it was clear that it was time, I resisted opportunities when they literally had my name on them, I resisted conflict even though I have experienced the closeness that can come when the issue is resolved. Over time, I realized that the sooner I lowered my resistance, take the boxing gloves off, and embraced the change by releasing my psychopathic desire to control the outcome, the sooner I could experience peace. When I said yes, then I could see miracles took place inside me, and I could also witness the miracles of others.

Three years ago, I surrendered to a truckload of fear and said yes to Lindsaya’s invitation to create what we now call “Shameless Saturdays”. A space where we do just that—we witness miracles. The most powerful miracle being a changed mind. The miracle of a more elevated perspective. A more inward-focused awareness. This living, breathing “thing” we have created on Clubhouse has been transformative and powerful. We named it Shameless to reflect our desire to have open, honest, transparent, vulnerable conversations about addiction, in a way that was free from any preconceived ideas dictating how we constructed the room.

At first, I set a quiet intention to “direct” the room in a certain way. I had been used to 12-step meetings, and staying true to the “real” recovery way seemed important at the time. We got 4 to 5 meetings in when I realized that directing the room could possibly create barriers for the level of open sharing I desired to have, so I leaned in and stepped into an observer role. This space was different. This space was special.

The discussions, oh man, the discussions. Every single topic presented, every single week, has been nothing short of powerful. I’ve grown, I’ve seen others change, and I’ve observed the change happening to the vibration of the conversations. We currently host courageous recovering warriors from around the globe, who have stories of victory they have found the freedom to share with our Shameless community. We laugh, we cry, we get a little spicy, we grow together, and we heal together.

My own spiritual journey, in large part due to Shameless Saturday conversations, has expanded exponentially. And while continuing to remain in an observer role, I’ve witnessed the same shifting happen with Shameless. As I’m called to deeper connection with the God of my understanding, with myself, and with others, I’m also now being called to honor that shifting and allow Shameless Saturdays to do the same.

What does that look like? First, it’s important to acknowledge that addiction has many faces, all with the same outcome… the loss of self, disconnection from God, and enmity in relationships. The answer, or recovery process, when chosen, also has one outcome—reclaiming self, connection with God, and with man. This can happen in the Anon recovery rooms and meetings, or through consistent connection to community for accountability, with open, honest, beautiful conversations that are expansive and transformative. It's truly about the individual experience and what speaks to their healing more. And that’s what Shameless will continue to be—a place where transformation happens, through the sharing of our lives together, and discussing topics that foster reclaiming self, connecting with the God of our understanding, and healing our relationships with others.

Second, because Shameless Saturdays has been such an instrumental part of my own transformation, and the same for so many others, I feel it’s also time for the name of this beautiful space to reflect that. Shameless Transformation will step forward as a way of graduating us all into a newness of experience and growth.

And lastly, Shameless Transformation will continue our regular meeting time on Saturdays at 8:00 A.M. EST, on the new app Chatter. We hope the app has developed enough to allow us to launch in October. This new platform can facilitate many other options for our connection and continued expansion, through broadcasting, which will extend our reach and give so many others the opportunity that we’ve all been blessed to experience over the last three years. Until then, we will be on Clubhouse, come join us.

Your life is a miracle! Your transformation is a miracle! And I have loved every moment of the witnessing by myself and others of those miracles!
